  1. Mark K

I’ve used regular baking soda mixed in water before for occasional digestive discomfort, but honestly I hated drinking it. These capsules are a much easier and more convenient way to take sodium bicarbonate without dealing with the salty/chalky taste.
What I really like is the delayed release formula. It feels gentler on my stomach compared to taking straight baking soda, and I’ve noticed it helps when I get that overly full, acidic, or uncomfortable feeling after heavier meals.
One thing that stood out to me is the added alginate. I feel like it gives extra soothing support compared to basic sodium bicarbonate alone, almost like it helps create a barrier that keeps things calmer after eating. That combination seems to work especially well at night when reflux or indigestion tends to bother me more.
The capsules themselves are easy to swallow and haven’t caused me any stomach irritation. I’ve been using them mainly for digestive comfort and overall balance, especially after eating foods that normally leave me feeling sluggish or bloated.
The bottle gives a solid amount for the price, and the quality seems good so far. Obviously this isn’t some miracle supplement, but for simple digestive support it has worked well for me and is much more convenient than the old-school spoonful of baking soda method.
Overall, definitely a product I’ll keep around in the cabinet.

These sodium bicarbonate capsules are a convenient alternative to chewable antacids or mixing baking soda in water.
The capsules are easy to swallow, don’t have a chalky taste, and don’t leave that coated feeling in your mouth like some tablets do. I also like that the formula is aluminum-free and includes calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, and sodium alginate instead of being just plain baking soda in capsule form.

For occasional acid discomfort, these do help take the edge off, especially after meals or coffee when reflux can flare up. The delayed-release capsule seems gentler than regular sodium bicarbonate tablets, and the bottle is easy to keep in a cabinet or take along when you’re going to be away from home.

That said, I would treat these more as occasional support than an everyday solution. Sodium bicarbonate naturally contains sodium, so anyone watching sodium intake or dealing with blood pressure issues should pay attention to the label. I also noticed more bloating and belching than I usually get with standard chewable antacids, which makes sense chemically but is still worth knowing before taking them in public.

Overall, this is a clean, practical, easy-to-use digestive aid that works reasonably well for occasional acid relief. It feels higher quality than basic tablets, but it’s not magic, and the extra gas may be a tradeoff for some people.

  3. Kris G.

My grandfather used to take sodium bicarbonate regularly when I was growing up and I never really understood why until I started dealing with my own digestive discomfort as an adult. Turns out the old timers were onto something.
These capsules have made a noticeable difference. The delayed release is a practical upgrade over just spooning baking soda into water the old fashioned way, and the aluminum free formula was important to me personally.
Sometimes the simplest remedies are the ones that actually work, and this is a good modern take on something that’s been quietly doing its job for generations. Easy to work into a daily routine and my stomach has been better for it.

  4. Hazelrah

This is one of my favorite rescue remedies to keep on hand. I use it when I am allergic to something to calm down my gut. It’s very effective for me. And the encapsulated form makes it easy to carry with me, just in case. When I use it, I take once capsule and wait about 20 minutes to see if I get the results I need. If not, I’ll take another. I usually don’t exceed two capsules in a 24 hour period. There are certain times of year when I carry this with me at all times. Not medical advice, this is just how I use it.

  5. Skye Goddess

This supplement has a well-rounded blend of ingredients that gives a good sense of what to expect. In addition to sodium bicarbonate, which acts quickly to neutralize acid, it also includes calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide—both familiar antacids that tend to last a bit longer. One standout ingredient is sodium alginate, a seaweed-derived compound that forms a kind of barrier on top of stomach contents to help prevent reflux from rising into the esophagus.

In practice, this works well when taken after a meal, especially if you’re dealing with occasional reflux. I noticed it helped take the edge off symptoms, particularly after having coffee post-meal, which can sometimes trigger discomfort. It’s not something I’d rely on as a long-term solution, but for situational relief, it does a solid job and lasts long enough to get through that window of irritation.

  6. Phinsup

This is Greta quality, no junk ingredients it does contain calcium so make sure you account for that. I use sodium bicarb for acid reflux, it works quickly, is effective and very safe. It is one of the most effective antacids I’ve found and it works almost instantly.

This is a great value at this price and it’s definitely worth the price. I would recommend but also caution that there is a lot of calcium along with the bicarb so make sure you reduce calcium elsewhere if need be.

  7. BonhommeRichard

These are a simple, but useful solution to trying to neutralize acid. Basic chemistry! They appear high quality, in package and product. Capsules are easy to swallow with no noticeable taste or bad aftereffect. They do provide relief from excess acid.

Notice they don’t have a “born on date”, but don’t expire til March 2029. As a chemical engineer myself, I can say there SHOULD be a long expiration date since this is a basic chemical, not a complicated petroleum derivative. 3 years seems quite conservative, I’d be comfortable using them well past that, unless you’ve opened them, or keep them under water.

  8. Feiyatour

One thing I appreciated is how easy it is to keep these capsules around. The bottle doesn’t take up much space, and I can leave it on the counter or tuck it into a cabinet without any hassle. It’s also convenient to bring along if I know I’ll be out for a while.

There were a couple of times I took it with me during longer days, especially when I wasn’t sure what meals would look like. It felt good to have something simple on hand without needing to plan too much.

The capsules themselves are easy to take, which matters more than I expected. When something is comfortable to use, it becomes more likely that you’ll actually keep up with it.

  9. Ike & Mary Pleasant

I’ve struggled w heartburn for decades, and despite tests there’s not a culprit yet, so I just fight it, and try to not consume super hot foods. I’ve read that sodium bicarbonates, as well as calcium & magnesium can be a real lifesaver when it comes to acid pains. I’ve tried this digestive blends for a short time and haven’t had acidity yet. Crossing my fingers that it continues. I like that these are bottled in the US. It appears to be a quality product. I also like that this blend does NOT contain aluminum There aren’t any bad smells or tastes, nor is there an aftertaste. Packaging is nice & functional. The price was fair & affordable. I feel comfortable taking this supplement.

  10. waehrik

I really like these for a simple and effective to reduce acid and prevent heartburn compared to other over the counter options. Out of curiosity I broke one capsule open and put it in some vinegar and observe the classic baking soda combination result with a small amount of bubbling. Unlike direct baking soda of course it’s far more subtle with a much lower concentration and I never feel any gas or loading myself and taking them. I also appreciate that filler necessary for these is just made from simple organic rice.

  11. Lady Peninah

I do feel that these bicarbonate capsules are like Alka-Seltzer in an encapsulated form. I deliberately ate something that I already knew would give me crazy indigestion. I took 2 of these bicarb capsules and waited for the results. After 30 minutes I did feel the Alka-Seltzer effect without the heavy salt aftertaste. My stomach calmed down and that harsh burning sensation in my chest area gently disappeared. I had no adverse side effects like a runny gut or the need to possibly hurl. The capsules themselves are tasteless and easy to swallow. Other than that…I’ve tried them more than once now and they worked well.

  12. Ebbs

I have taken these sodium Bicarbonate capsules on a couple different occasions. I’ve taken it for acid reflux and it worked quickly for me. Then I took it when I had a major bout of gas and it worked in that case scenario also. I really appreciate that it’s aluminum free and of premium purity. I believe that Sodium Bicarbonate is essential in any medicine cabinet for its many health effects. And this brand has a great quality natural product that is clean and effective.

  13. Jenn Yates

An easier to take form of baking soda. Clean, easy to take standard gelatin capsules, and the supplement also contains a little calcium and magnesium too so that’s a bonus. it’s manufactured in the US out of New Mexico.

  14. Curt

Good for alleviating an upset stomach. Have used it before and it works great.

  15. Darwin

This sodium bicarbonate capsule supplement is a straightforward option if you are looking for something to help with occasional acid discomfort and general pH balance without dealing with powders. The capsule form makes it way more convenient and easier on the taste compared to mixing baking soda in water which a lot of people find unpleasant. It works by helping neutralize stomach acid so it can be useful for things like indigestion or that heavy feeling after meals. The delayed or capsule delivery can also be gentler on the stomach compared to taking it straight which is a nice bonus. It is not something you use constantly but more of an as needed or supportive supplement depending on your routine. The formula being aluminum free and simple is a plus if you want something clean without extra additives. Overall it is a practical no hassle option that does exactly what you expect for basic digestive comfort and balance.
